基本介绍：
为了纪念美国电影业的第一个百年庆典，美国电影协会着手整理此部“好莱坞百年百部经典电影”。空前的庆典，从美国电影协会推荐的四百多部影片中挑选而出，集中了全美国一百多个电影发行公司的作品。最初美国新闻网CBS在黄金时间通过广播预告参选节目，使得此次庆典具有广度和重要性。
