The cubs remember all too well
their terrifying encounters with hyenas

when they were small.
现在它们一定要坚守阵地

Now, they must learn
to stand their ground.
幼豹们最终与鬣狗达成共识
The cubs have finally come to terms
with hyenas.
它们差不多可以独♥立♥了
They’re close
to becoming independent cheetahs.
但还不成
But notjust yet.
当她的家人随风四散
With her family blown to the wind,
玛拉发现独自生活是个挑战
Mara has found living alone
a challenge.
没有狮群一起猎食，她要饿着上路
With no pride to hunt with her,
she’s going hungry.
疣猪似乎是最佳饭餐
细小，味美，且容易到手
Warthogs seem to be the perfect meal,
small, tasty and easy to catch.
也不是那么容易的
Not quite so easy after all.
畜群仍未回来
The herds are still gone,
而其他选择似乎都是
and all the other alternatives
seem to be
超大尺寸
super-sized.
但年青的狮子们认为自己无所匹敌
But young lions
think they’re a match for anything.
要是玛拉听了西塔讲的
怎样避开水牛的课，就好了
If only Mara had taken Sita’s class
in avoiding grumpy buffalo.
现在失去亲人的代价实在惨不忍♥睹
Now the real cost of losing her family
is painfully clear.
玛拉离开狮群之前
并没学会捕猎
Mara was driven out
before she learnt to hunt.
西塔喜欢捕猎的瞪羚过了河
来到南岸
The gazelles that Sita hunts
have crossed the river to the south.
她一定要跟随
不然她一家便要挨饿
She must follow them
or her family will starve.
对幼豹而言
这可能是最危险的一课
For the cubs, this may be
their most dangerous lesson yet.
西塔很少过河
Sita rarely crosses the river.
她知道这里危机四伏
She knows it’s deadly.
它们刚步入卡里的新领土
They’ve just entered Kali’s new realm.
大河狮群的母狮们
The River Pride lionesses
再次宣告领土的主♥权♥属于她们
once again proclaim
their ownership of the pride lands.
她们已与卡里讲和
They have made peace with Kali.
她们的新领袖
已成为一个忠诚的守护者
Their new ruler has become
a committed protector.
玛拉仍未被接纳
Mara is still an outcast.
因为食物短缺
母狮们不想玛拉分一杯羹
With food scarce, the lionesses
don’t want Mara taking a share.
她必需自己照顾自己
She must fend for herself.
这看来很无情
lt seems harsh,
但母狮们有新的顾虑
but the other lionesses
have new priorities.
幼狮
Cubs.
卡里的幼狮
Kali’s cubs.
卡里已达到目的
Kali has achieved his goal.
母狮们抚养的是他的幼狮
而不是獠牙的
The lionesses
are now raising his cubs, not Fang’s.
西塔一家自信地迈进卡里的领土
Sita and her family confidently
stride across Kali’s land.
年少的豹子们现在有信心
The young cheetahs
now have the confidence
挑战挡在路上的任何事物
to challenge everything in their path.
即使是狮子
Even lions.
但等等
But wait.
幼豹还不知道狮子是群居的
The young cheetahs have yet to learn
that lions live in prides.
猎食者被捕猎
The hunters are being hunted.
这一课不是要捕猎狮子
This lesson is not hunting lions,
而是避开它们！
it’s escaping them!
卡里来了
Kali.
游戏完了
The game is over.
最重要的教训
The most important lesson,
永远不要找狮子的麻烦
never mess with lions.
看，这副景象
是玛拉和所有狮子都在期盼着的
The sight that Mara
and all the lions have been longing for.
大型畜群终于
回归这片土地
At last the great herds
are returning to the pride lands.
对狮子来说，好日子回来了
For the lions, the good times are back.
当土地再次热闹起来
With the pride lands rich again,
也是玛拉脱离饥饿的时机
it’s also a chance for Mara
to end her hunger.
不再挨饿的玛拉
还有一个终极目标
No longer hungry,
Mara has one last goal,
就是再次被大河狮群接纳
to be accepted back
into the River Pride.
西塔的任务已经完成了
Sita’s work is done.
她教会了荒野里

She has taught her cubs
everything they need to know

about this wilderness.
幼豹从最艰辛的环境中长大
The cubs have survived
the toughest of upbringings,

but now they know what’s safe,

最重要的是它们已学会如何猎食
what’s dangerous
and, above all, how to hunt.
西塔知道儿女已经有能力保护自己
Sita knows her cubs are ready
to fend for themselves.

She must return to the solitary life
of a cheetah.

Against all odds, with the courage
that only a mother can bring,

Sita has raised
three magnificent cheetahs.

Mara is desperate
to rejoin her mother’s pride
她出生时所属的狮群
into which she was born,
但玛莱卡和其它母狮
会欢迎她回去吗？
but will Malaika and the lionesses
welcome her back？
最后
狮群终于接受了玛拉重返大家庭
The lionesses have finally accepted
Mara back into their family.
莱拉为女儿生存而进行的艰苦奋斗
终于有了回报
Layla’s brave fight for her cub to live on
was not in vain.

The River Pride is reborn.
