English #1 – Mantra of Longevity

Mantra of Longevity, for not getting old: a wall1 smooth on both sides2,
Wine and food are stinky3, horse’s backside is fragrant4, you’re in trouble, I’m in distress,
Still not awaken from a dream, the night is still young, listen to the Heaven’s will5, open the Heaven’s window6,
Heaven is anxious, Earth is anxious, the poor do fortune telling, the rich burn incense for the gods.

Let’s go!
If you don’t have money then shut your mouth, if you do have some then go burn some incense,
If you want money then work without sparing your own life, if you wanna take someone’s life then spare your nonsense.
If you wanna have peaceful ears, first of all you should turn off your TV,
If you wanna live a few years longer, do not open your fridge.
If you have nothing to do then drink more water7, if you have something to do then stop talking bullshit,
Sleep a little bit more so that your head wouldn’t be so full of anxiety.
If you’re kindhearted like a bodhisattva8 then let the bodhisattva cross the river first9,
If you can understand that all four elements are void10 then the Hell itself will be like Paradise to you.

Black, white – it’s all the same, right, wrong – it’s all the same, good, bad – it’s all the same,
Heaven is boundless, Earth is limitless, people are inconstant.

Seeing water not as water, seeing mountain once again as a mountain11,
Doing things is simple, behaving properly12 isn’t simple at all.
Sweep the snow from your own door step, don’t worry about the frost on your neighbor’s roof13,
If you can keep your six roots of sensations clean14 than who cares how fickle this world is.

Black, white – it’s all the same, right, wrong – it’s all the same, good, bad – it’s all the same,
Heaven is boundless, Earth is limitless, people are inconstant.

True, false – it’s all the same, love, hate – it’s all the same, sadness, joy – it’s all the same,
Laugh a little, cry a little, dream a little.
True, false – it’s all the same, love, hate – it’s all the same, sadness, joy – it’s all the same,
