just because there was nothing else there

that I could listen to at the time.

And having listened to jazz and, you know, great songwriters

like James Taylor and Carole King,
那感觉像是… 我觉得那个时候
it was very… I felt like I had nothing new
我没有听到任何新鲜的音乐
that was coming out at the time
能真正表达我自己 或是我的感受
that really represented me or the way I felt.
所以我才开始写歌♥ 写我自己的东西
So I just started writing, really, my own stuff
