怎么会一些人相信一种说法…
How can it be that everyone knows one thing
另一些人相信另外一种呢
if many people believe another thing?
那哪个是对的

地球是个球体…

它有个轴
with stick through it.

你并不知道究竟是不是
Does that mean that you do not know?
但你该知道的 你是国王

有天你会成为国王…
Someday you too will be king,
你也会无所不知
and you too will know everything.
但我该怎么学呢
But how do I learn?
我什么时候 才知道自己无所不知
And when do I know that I know everything?

错是错
What was not was not.
长大成人后
Now I am a man,
世界改变了
World have change a lot
有时对还是对
Some things nearly so,
但错不再是错
Others nearly not.

There are times I almost think
不知道我究竟知道些什么
I am not sure of what I absolutely know;

Very often find confusion
总让我很困惑
In conclusion I concluded long ago.
我脑中有很多事情…
In my head are many facts that,
都是学生时代学到的
As a student I have studied to procure

Of which I wish I was more certain

I was sure.
这让人迷惑
Is a puzzlement.
我该不该跟他国结盟
Shall I join with other nations in alliance?
如果盟国力量不强 独♥立♥岂不更好
If allies are weak am I not best alone?
如果盟国力量强大 能够保护我国…
If allies are strong with power to protect me,
是否会夺走我们独有的东西
Might they not protect me out of all I own?
互相信任很危险
Is a danger to be trusting one another,
不该照别人的意愿做事
One will seldom want to do what other wishes;
除非有一天 地上一片荒芜…
But unless someday, Somebody trust somebody,
只剩下鱼…
There’ll be nothing left on earth
大家才会互相信任
excepting fishes!
有时我几乎肯定…
There are times I almost think
没人能确信他们知道的东西
nobody sure of what he absolutely know,
每个人都会对多年前的决定…
Ev’rybody find confusion
产生疑惑
In conclusion he concluded long ago.
我着实迷惑不解…
And it puzzle me to learn
人竟会质疑自己知道的事
that tho’ a man may be in doubt of what he know,
他们很快便要厮打…
Very quickly will he fight,
为了证明他们自己知道的…
He’ll fight to prove that what he does not know
才是正确的
is so.
有时我觉得人们都疯了
Sometimes I think that people going mad!

Sometimes I think that people not so bad.
但不管我怎么想…

我也要继续生活 当好国王
I must go on living life. As leader of my kingdom

Ev’ry day I try to live another day,
